Reading - Last week we began our study of poetry. We have started analyzing various poems for examples of figurative language such as alliteration, onomatopoeia, and five senses.
Writing - Students began writing their own poetry. They will have the opportunity to write concrete poems, acrostic poems, and various other forms of poetry.
Math - We continued our study of multiplication. We focused on how to represent multiplication using a strip diagram, and our 0s, 1s, 2s (double), 4s (double, double), and 8s (double, double, double) facts.
