Math: Last week we learned all about the various attributes of Polygons and Quadrilaterals. This week we will continue our Geometry unit and our focus will be on finding the area of various shapes using square units, repeated addition and multiplication.
Reading: This week we will continue our Traditional Literature unit with Legends and Myths. Students will continue to analyze, make inferences, and draw conclusions about story plot, character interaction and change, setting, and theme through stories read aloud to the class, comprehension activities, as well as independent reading.
Writing: This week we will continue to work on writing our fables.
Science: We have learned that the Earth’s surface is always changing and we have studied the rapid changes that the earth goes through. This week we will investigate the slow changes to the Earth’s surface, such as weathering, and the effects of each type of slow change.
