Reading - This week we will continue our study of poetry. We will analyze various poems for examples of figurative language such as similes, metaphors, hyperboles, and idioms.
Writing - Students will continue to write their own poetry. This week we will continue to work on our concrete poems, and begin writing our haiku, couplet, and quatrain poems.
Math - This week we are continuing our study of multiplication. We will focus on strategies for our 5 and 10 multiplication facts, and then move on to recognizing and extending patterns in tables. Students will end the week with a review of the multiplication strategies they have learned.
Science - This week we will begin to explore force and motion, magnetism and gravity.
Social Studies - We will be completing our study of heroes, and what it means to be a hero.
